Additional LRC from the Motolite-PBSP Balik Baterya Program

We thank all the 25 partners of the Motolite-PBSP Balik Baterya Program for donating 1.85 tons of their used lead acid batteries (ULABs) from February to March 2010 this year! The additional ULABs collected were able to generate an approximate value of Php 42,705.00, enough to fund one more learning resource center (LRC) for the schoolchildren in the country.

We also welcome Lexmark Research and Development Corp. as our new member for the PBSP-Motolite Balik Baterya Program, which started its involvement early this year.

Last March 10, 2010, we officially launched the PLDT Balik Baterya Learning Resource Project, where PLDT turned over Php 880,000.00 for the construction of 22 more LRCs around the country. These LRCs are set to be turned over to the schools during the Brigada Eskuwela on May 2010.

Let us continue to be involved in this objective to clean our environment and improve the education standards of the country.
